Colophon
Two unpublished poems by Arturo Schwarz, two original engravings in colour by Luca Leonelli, and two pages taken from Galileo Galilei's Sidereus Nuncius (1610).
Edition of 12 copies that each consist of the following:
Twelve sheets held together by a larger, folded sheet bearing the frontispiece and the colophon, kept in a grey canvas cover of 54 x 45 x 1cm and bearing the screenprinted frontispiece as well. The twelve sheets consist of nine drypoints on aluminium (plate 32 x 24 cm), one etching with drypoint and aquatint on zinc (plate 39.5 x 30 cm), one sheet of text by the artist, and one folded sheet of copperleaf cut in the form of two silhouettes (male and female) that are signed and numbered with a burin by the artist, from 1/10 to 10/10 and I/II to II/II; on the silhouettes folding lines are indicated to obtain a threedimensional sculpture.
The engravings and text are printed on 52 x 40 cm sheets of Hahnemühle paper. Text typeset and printed by Campi of Rozzano (It), engravings printed on the presses of the Laboratorio di Arte Grafica (Modena).
